I have written on this blog a few times. A blog that is SUPPOSED to help you earn money through writing. I have written literally nothing that could be considered useful information for new aspiring writer professionals. That changes today.
I know that upon the first impression of me through this blog, you probably would avoid looking to me for advice. Some nobody is trying to tell me how to do my craft, you think. Why should I listen to him? The answer is: You shouldn't.
At least not as an authority on the topic.
Thus bringing me to my first tip.
Listen to everyone and anyone in hopes for useful information.
Sure, you're right. I do not know what I'm doing quite yet. I am actively learning though. I have been studying freelance writing success for a while. I'm excited to get started. I'm hungry for it, and I don't get like this about just anything. So no, I don't have the experience, but i just might have the know how that you're looking for.
My next tip:
Keep an open mind.
It may not sound like something you would want to do, but you should try it anyway. Blogging? Not for you? You should have one anyway if you want to write. If only for an example of some of your writing to show potential employers. There's a job to write romance fan fiction between two T. V. characters and a third party of an undisclosed name?(Yes this is a real job that I saw. And yes, I know that no one in their right mind would pass it up. but for the sake of getting my point across...) Give it a try! It pays right? And you're getting some experience. Even if your goal is not to become a romance writer, it won't hurt.
READ!
Oh this is new information to you is it? You didn't know that writers are also readers? Come on! Writing 101. You're lucky to have me. Read daily, your writing will improve.
WRITE!
I swear, this is necessary. Writers practice writing. Even when you're not getting paid for it. Maybe even especially when you're not getting paid for it. Its just a bonus that its fun. And if you don't think writing is even a little fun, my tip is to look for a different job...
There, the most basic of basics, just for you and your journey. If you already knew and use these tips, well then maybe you shouldn't have judged me so quickly. I obviously know what I'm talking about huh. If you didn't, congrats on getting some fundamentals down so easily. Its like eating your vegetables. Just do it so you don't get yelled at.

My Bad Folks
I have been catching myself up in my classes, and havn't had the chance to update any of my blogs. I feel the need to apologize to all of my followers ( I don't have any followers) for not keeping you up to date on everything you need to know about freelance writing or earning money writing remotely.
Regardless of my lack of recent posts, I have been collecting info on earning remotely, and think I have made some good progress in terms of ideas.
This post will not explain any of those earning opportunities, because I am drunk. I promise you though, I have it all figured out. Seriously. I don't know why you haven't read about me in your local news source.
But in all seriousness; I am figuring out a lot about blogs, freelance work, self promotion, marketing, and breeding exotic fish.
And I just got my adderall prescription filled; soooooooo
I will have regular posts starting now.
I will give websites and examples of earning potential through said sites.
I will give some knowledge from my journalism class.
Tell my thoughts on marketing.
And writing too I guess because I have insight even if it looks like I don't. I'm a pro

Yeah all that stuff

Earned My First Cash (with a catch)
The site I mentioned in my last post accepted my submission, so I officially earned my first few bucks for my writing. I've done some more research on the type of site I used though, and everyone who talks about them has nothing but bad things to say. You can earn real money yes, if you're a talented enough writer, but you get paid next to nothing. Worse than that, you don't get to use your name on the articles, so essentially you are stuck writing for them without building on your resume or portfolio at all. Ive heard some people refer to it as writer slave labor.
Yes you can earn close to 15 bucks an hour. But for a writer that's practically nothing.
I'm going to try this site regularly, regardless of everything I just said, because I can't in good conscience pass up 15 bucks an hour.
I will put more time into my portfolio and resume and experience and work toward getting a real contract job, and only kill an hour or so on the other rip off sites.
Anyway, my next post is going to be resources for beginner writers, and some tips I have from studying the profession so far.
Please contact me if you have some experience writing professionally and have tips for me, and for the blog!

First Submission for Online Cash
I officially wrote my first article through a third party website and am currently waiting to hear back if its accepted. It was some sort of scammy news article advertisement for an online clothing company, which I have no moral issue with trying out.
I believe it's all one big grey area personally.
And I need money.
Anyway. The article pays... if accepted... wait for it... 4 dollars! It isn't the type of thing to get me on the fast track to earning cash monayy, but it's a start for practicing professional content. Plus, after successfully submitting a number of articles, you're given higher pay opportunities.
This isn't the ideal way I want to earn from writing. Even if I get to the point where I have the highest earning potential, it is in no way where a will be setting up shop. I'm just exploring every avenue that I can for remote earning opportunities that work for me.
I also did a bit more research and am realizing the commitment this pursuit is going to need in order to get anywhere. But I am committed. So committed. This is the type of thing I've day dreamed about for years, and for some reason only now decided it was a realistic life choice.
So I plan to keep using sites like the one that I just used, hopefully regularly, but will be scouring the internet for all of the information I can on how to write professionally. And more specifically remotely. And believe me, I plan to take quite a few short cuts to become successful at it.

About the page
This is officially my first blog post so go easy on me, I have no idea what I'm doing.
I have been writing for years and recently decided to pursue professional work. Obviously this is a process that will take time and dedication, and since I'm in need of a new blog idea, why not document my progress and maybe help some others like me along the way. I am currently looking at a pay pal account balance with a whopping $0, and hopefully sometime soon there will be at least a little money earned, so I can officially say that I work as an online writer.
I have signed up for a few freelance sites that I have yet to commit to a job for. I think I just need a little courage to get myself moving.
So much research will be needed if I plan to ever earn a livable wage, but I am confident I can make it work.
Nowhere to go but up.
Feel free to contact me with advice for the blog, or even better the career!
